It couldn’t be more authentic than La Risacca. Somewhat hidden between rocky bays, La Risacca sits enthroned on a tiny mole in the turquoise sea. The fact that the restaurant has hardly changed since the seventies makes it a film-like Fellini backdrop. In the kitchen, the Italian mamma is still standing, preparing the pesce with heavenly Zuppa, while Papa Vito himself caught the squid in the early morning. You sit on plastic chairs without any frills and the service can be described as improvised, but that’s irrelevant, all that counts here is the ingenious location and the authentic, simple and good home cooking. And best of all – for dessert you simply jump into the turquoise sea. Good to know: As charming old school as everything at La Risacca is, you can only pay cash in the restaurant.
