The hotel restaurant Lagrimas Negras has become very popular amongst visiting gourmets as well as amongst local gourmets. The chef de cuisine, José Luis Esteban, who only uses top quality products and is in favour of traditional dishes, is responsible for this gourmet cuisine. The restaurant, with its interesting wooden shutters in front of the windows, was designed by Christian Liagre and is separated in three different parts; the coffee bar, the restaurant and the fluorescent bar. A 10 course menu costs €90,-, but you can also just order a sandwich in their coffee bar. That they never stop developing new ideas, is demonstrated by the range of their products; the tea menu alone holds 50 different teas, they offer 300 types of wine, they even have a menu offering 20 different types of water and an olive oil menu is being planned.
