The Latteria Trastevere is firmly in female hands, mother with daughter, and is simply all-round friendly. You’ll find a fine selection of good wines, including many first-class natural wines, as well as Amaros – bitters and drinks, from small artisan distilleries. Accompanied by snacks such as cheese, vegetables and ham. Hot dishes like pasta are also served. My new favourite drink is a prosecco with a rosemary sage syrup, ice, fresh rosemary and lime. It really has potential to be the next summer drink of the year. Forget Aperol and Hugo. The interior is beautifully classic and the small wooden tables are great for sitting outside on a quieter street. Products from sustainable farms are also sold directly on a small scale.
