Just a stone’s throw from the bustling Rue des Martyrs, Le Savarin is quietly tucked away in a side street in the 9th arrondissement. Formerly known as Belle Maison, it now has a new name but the same signature style: as part of the Le Pantruchoise restaurant group, Le Savarin stands for traditional French cuisine with modern sophistication. The concise, seasonal menu offers classics such as hand-cut tartare or braised beef cheek in red wine sauce, complemented by creative reinterpretations such as a vegetarian version of pot-au-feu. The stylish ambience extends over two floors: string shelves, blue and white tiles on the walls, wooden tables with white linen tablecloths, relaxed music and a spacious sun terrace for warmer days. The atmosphere is informal – the team is friendly and attentive, many guests are greeted personally – it already seems to be an institution in the neighbourhood.
