La Sete means “the thirst” and is Osteria da Rioba’s latest enoteca project. The friendly, modern yet cosy wine bar with brick and wooden beams is located right next to the Fondamenta Misericordia. What makes La Sete special is its specialisation in handcrafted wines from all over the world. There are usually around 10 wines available by the glass, always including something from the region and at least 30% of which are natural, organic and biodynamic wines that are naturally vinified. In short, La Sete is a real gem for lovers of special wines. And – of course – there is no shortage of cicchetti here either. The crostino with poached pear and gorgonzola are particularly delicious.
