Liberté is bursting with freedom, as the name suggests. The imposing and stylish restaurant has a unique magical location on Dock 11, directly in front of the fish market. Owner John Wiebelitz’s bistro floats here and offers its guests not only a beautiful view of the Hamburg skyline and its harbour cranes, but also excellent drinks and delicacies of French cuisine such as moules frites, steak frites, tartar, grilled goat cheese and, of course, fresh mussels from the neighbour. Sitting here feels a bit like being on holiday, maybe it’s because the bistro is a whole 20 metres from land and you could even briefly think you’re on a boat? In any case, the Inetrior is more than on point. No wonder, the owners have selected every single piece at flea markets in France and Belgium.
