The modern restaurant Mammà belongs to the younger guard of restaurants on the island and is hidden in the “Souks of Capri”. Thanks to the glass façade, from the tables you have a wonderful view of the Marina Grande and the island of Ischia. At the stove stands the celebrated and young star chef Gennaro Esposito, who was crowned with his first Michelin star in no time at all. The credo of the Mammà’s is – to work without exception with fresh ingredients, one looks in vain for a refrigerator or larger freezer compartments in the kitchen. The atmosphere is especially nice here at lunchtime, because then the otherwise fine gourmet kitchen is a bit more relaxed and delicious pizza from the wood stove is served.
