The first thing you notice about MARTA is what an all around stylish place – you wouldn’t expect something like this in Munich, or rather in London or Paris: velvet-covered benches, Amalfi-inspired tableware and a massive marble bar. Apart from the ambience, delicious Neapolitan pizza is also served here. Three days of dough rest, covered with the best ingredients, golden yellow and fluffy baked in only 60-90 seconds. Admittedly, the corner around the Schwabinger Tor is not exactly the first place to stroll, but the MARTA brings Italian flair to the quarter. The operators want to serve food like La Nonna – just a few small dishes, homemade and with simple ingredients.
