A visit to Santa Catalina, Palma’s youth district, is especially worth it if you combine it with a stop at the market. Less conspicuous than L’Olivar, the Santa Catalina Market is also less frequented by tourists. The best place for ham is Aixo Bo, which is both well priced and authentic, and if you’re looking for the finest, you can choose between two types of Pata negra at Izquierdo. Tasting is welcome at many stands and it is easy to get a variety of small portions for a picnic.
