A visit to the Mercato Testaccio is a must for all foodie lovers. More precisely, the “Cucina Romana” was born here. In the market hall butchers, fish and vegetable merchants sell their goods, which come exclusively from the region. Our favourite traders: “La Prosciutteria die Enzo e Lina” sells probably the best Prosciutto Curdo far and wide, as well as delicious buffalo mozzarella from Campania. The wonderful pastry shop “Dess´Art Pasticceria” is known for its cannoli and delicious pastries, mostly based on classic Sicilian traditions and at “Massimo” you should stop for the Bruscetta al pomodoro!
