Mike´s Kino in Prien is an institution around Lake Chiemsee – especially for fans of alternative film. The Prien cinema mainly shows release films, such as small or foreign productions. The visitors come from all over the district. The real highlight, however, is in summer, when Mike´s Kino presents cinematic delicacies on the giant open-air screen directly on Lake Chiemsee in the Prienavera beach bath. The film begins with the onset of darkness in dry weather. The sound is transmitted via radio headphones so that residents and the animal world also feel at home. The programme includes proven classics, current films, previews of current films, film team visits and actor tours. There are numerous deck chairs available and can be rented from the landlord for 1 € including blanket.
