Founded in 1929 the MOMA was the first museum of the world to mainly show modern art. Today the collection comprises of more than 135,000 paintings, prints, photographs, sculptures and design objects. In addition to the main collection there are regularly changing exhibitions of modern artists. But the MOMA is more than just a museum. It frequently organises cinema nights, concerts, forums for the whole family and instructive art and play afternoons for children.
