The Musée de la Palmeraie is a true oasis of tranquillity to the hustle and bustle of the medina and still a secret tip. This may be due to the fact that the museum is not located on the usual paths, but a little outside in the eastern part of Marrakech, in a former agricultural complex of rammed earth. Surrounded by a beautiful two hectare park with different themed gardens, modern Moroccan works of art are on display. The permanent exhibition includes paintings, photographs, calligraphies, sculptures and installations by some fifty contemporary Moroccan artists. It is important to allow enough time for a quiet stroll through the Andalusian garden, cactus garden, water garden and vegetable garden.
