If you are a lover of contemporary art, you should definitely not miss the Museum Brandhorst. Since its opening in 2009, the house has established itself as one of the central locations for contemporary art in Germany. Behind the spectacular façade of 36,000 ceramic rods, they can immerse themselves in top works of art from the 1960s to the present day. From Sigmar Polke to Bruce Nauman, Jeff Koons to Louise Lawler. In addition, the Museum Brandhorst houses the largest collection of Andy Warhol in Europe and has also placed an emphasis on the work of Cy Twombly. The monumental “Lepanto” cycle is permanently presented in a room that was specially designed according to the artist’s wishes. Pop Art and expressive painting, along with Arte Povera and Minimal Art, are just a few of the numerous movements represented in the museum.
