New York Bagels

It’s no secret the Capetonians love New York bagels. The snack bar of the same name, also called NYB for short, has become an absolute institution in the city. Already in the morning the smell of homemade bagels flies over Harrington Street through the District Six. It’s also worth coming early. Because the earlier, the greater the choice: from hummus to cream cheese, smoked trout, scrambled egg & bacon, capers & red onions to pickles & mustard. Admittedly, these bagels are so good that they would even compete with the original New York bagels in New York.
