The oldest bar in Zurich makes a return to modern dapper. With the Old Fashion Bar, Erik Haemmerli, owner of Bederhof, has created another shrine to comfort, which is well on the way to becoming a classic. One doesn’t only sit cosily on the rich Scottish tweeds, but can also eat and drink from an exquisite menu. At midday the Plat du Jour, and in the afternoon the Club Sandwich, whose outstanding quality is known city-wide. Invariably made with either Robespierre or Pata Negra ham, the sandwich not only looks great centre-stage on the serving cart, but is also scandalously tasty. One drink here easily turns into half of your afternoon, thanks to the relaxing atmosphere and impressive drinks menu. Aside from well-chosen wines and a good whisky selection, it is a place to enjoy, above all, the classic drinks. One simply must taste the Patron Gimlet!
