Day-trippers from Cape Town, locals and widely travelled tourists pilgrimage to the Olympia Café, an institution in the coastal town of Kalk Bay. They come here for the legendary seafood pasta and the delicious fish, but even more for the exuberant atmosphere. The numerous wooden tables in the high room, on the ceiling of which the ventilators slowly turn, are always full to the last seat, often there is even a queue of people waiting in front of the door. The Olympia Café is the perfect place for an uncomplicated lunch, a casual dinner with friends or a glass of white wine. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, you can choose a table on the veranda, which adjoins the side of the house. The café is located directly on the main street, which leads through the Kalkbay. At the weekend, unfortunately, the queue of cars that torments itself through Kalk Bay clouds the view to the sea.
