The Osteria da Giuseppe is as delightfully authentic as you rarely find its kind. The owner Giuseppe has lived in Germany for a very long time, which makes it all the more surprising that he of all people runs one of the simplest osterias without having the ambition to be more modern. Perhaps precisely because he knows how much Puglia in particular needs to preserve all the old places in its development, which people from abroad especially love. But that’s a story for another day. The food offers everything the Val d’Itria is known for, especially the grilled meat and the starters are very good here. The clientele is a mix of locals and tourists, who all feel at home because Giuseppe is a great host.
