Good bread is everywhere in Ticino, especially sourdough bread. With its hard crust and fluffy dough, it is irresistible, both in the morning for breakfast with butter and honey and in the evening with a salad. But there is bread, and then there is the bread from Panetteria Peri – the Pane Valle de Maggia, which is the best bread in Ticino, if not in Switzerland! It’s hard on the outside, but soft and almost still moist on the inside, and not just on the first day. It keeps for about a week.
