Behind the Pétanque Social Club is the restaurateur and colourful dog Kamal Laftimi. Kamal has already created several gastronomic treasures in Marrakech – Le Jardin, Nomad, Café des Epices. The latest baby is the Pétanque Social Club, hidden behind the dilapidated art deco cine palace in Marrakech’s Guéliz district and a beautiful tunnel of climbing jasmine. Like much of its location, this place has quickly become the place to be – especially when it comes to nightlife. This is where the modern Marrakech design, fashion and art scene meets for aperitifs and dinner. You can sit in an enchanted garden under olive trees and in a sea of candles, 1001 nights pure. Mediterranean cuisine such as burrata with tomatoes, roasted carrots with humus, tajine or squid risotto are served.
