The crystal-clear turquoise Braies Lake Wilseee with its beauty takes your breath away. Surrounded by dark green forests and the mighty rock faces of the surrounding mountains, it is no wonder that the lake is one of the most beautiful in the Dolomites. It is situated in the Pragstertal valley of the same name, a place from where you can make numerous mountain tours in the surroundings, hike on the Dolomite Alta Via No. 1, or take a leisurely tour with historical rowing boats. For those who don’t have much time, you can go to the historical Hotel Pragser Wildsee (St. Veit 27, 39030 Prags) and enjoy the panorama from there. A jump into the cold water is less suitable for sensitive people.
