Reichshof

The Reichshof Hamburg is a gem dating back to 1910, when it was the largest and most modern hotel in Germany. One night cost 3 marks 50zig. Today, the marble columns still stand in the impressive lobby and support the high ceilings of the old building. Many differently styled seating areas invite you to work and chat. In the well-hidden, cosy ‘1910’ bar, the art deco style is omnipresent and there is even a billiard table. The restaurant, where breakfast is also served, is also something really special: completely wood-panelled, with ancient balconies. But with almost no daylight. The listed building was carefully renovated in 2015. Spa area and fitness centre set up. The hotel is located directly opposite the main railway station, which is super practical on the one hand, but a moderately beautiful area on the other. But it’s not far from Hamburg city centre, so it’s well worth a visit.
