Located in the centre of Stockholm’s trendy Södermalm district, Restaurang Triton is a real insider tip for anyone who loves good food and likes to be surprised. The cuisine has already won several awards. Only a small, daily changing menu is served, which you have to get involved with. Guests only find out what is on offer from a blackboard on the spot. The cuisine is modern Nordic with clear French influences. The price level is high. The ingredients are often regional and always of high quality. So is the wine list. European, with many natural wines – almost a must in every trendy restaurant these days. It’s cosy, but perhaps a little too dark. Soft lighting, lots of wood, small tables, shelves with all sorts of odds and ends: a living room atmosphere. If you want to pop in spontaneously, you might be lucky and settle down in the ‘Capri Corner’ – there are a few seats here for guests without a reservation. The Triton is not for every day, but definitely something for a special evening.
