Admittedly, the restaurant Cal Dimoni has a certain bizarre touch, which already begins with the name of this legendary island classic. More precisely, Ca’l Dimoni stands for “The Devil” and goes back to the story that the former owner had the idea of dressing up as a devil to advertise his restaurant to passing cars. No wonder that Ca’l Dimoni is now the best known place to go in Algaida. But not only the aforementioned devil dances have made the restaurant famous, also for Mallorca’s hearty cuisine, from suckling pig to veal steaks to Sopa Mallorquin and Tapas Variadas the island visitors come from far away. A little tip: Save yourself a little hunger for the almond cake! So if you like it authentic and rustic, love meat and like to be among locals, you will love a’l Dimoni.
