Ristorante Albaruja is a bit of a rarity even in Rome. Good fish, generous portions and really reasonable prices and prepared on point. You can only find this a little outside the centre. The restaurant is beautifully left in its old state, a wonderful terrazzo floor, white covered tables, there is only one outlier, the lamps and the art on the walls. Kitschy and a bit banal, but we gladly accept the small “but” for the nice service and a restaurant that was still around 20 years ago, but today is a little jewel in the city of Rome. You can also sit outside, but the rather busy street is not so cosy. The spigola, sea bass, with jacket potatoes and cicoria is particularly good.
