Anyone who asks a Roman in Trastevere for a restaurant recommendation will always end up with Roma Sparita. An absolute favourite among the locals and this is also absolutely understandable. Somewhat hidden and fortunately a little off the beaten tourist track – as the name suggests in the “sunken Rome”. The best thing is to take Santa Cecilia place on the terrace with a view to the piazza, order a bottle of Vino della Casa and the speciality of the house, Cacio e Pepe. There is no other way to describe it, these Cacio e Pepe are a perfection in themselves. Oh bella italia!
