The particularity of Santa Cesarea Terme, a municipality in the province of Lecce, is the curative effect of its waters. Admittedly, from time to time the smell of rotten eggs is in the air. The characteristic smell is due to the sulphurous water that emerges from several sea caves. This healing effect of the water should be used and the Therme was founded. The different thermal baths are situated steeply above the sea and offer a wonderful panorama over the picturesque and beautiful coast. The thermal water found here contains salt, bromine, iodine, sulphur and fluorine and is therefore one of the most important natural resources in hydrotherapy.
