Feet in the sand, sea view, sun on your face. You can sit under shady trees in S’arenal, right on the water. It’s full, but not uncomfortable. There’s plenty to see and marvel at. With a cool glass of wine, it’s the perfect place to chill. The food is good, if not outstanding. The fresh fish is highly recommended. But the salmon tartare with mango is also highly recommended. Many of the tourists just come to drink; there is a decent selection of wines and many different cocktails. If you can’t stand up anymore, just book one of the comfortable loungers. There’s a button at the head end to activate the service. As I said, this is how a holiday should be.
