The Sénéquier on Saint-Tropez’s famous waterfront catches the eye from afar with its bright red chairs and tables. The family business has been around for more than 100 years. As early as midday, its guests gather under the shady marquise to secure a pole position and watch the showpiece with a piece of homemade tarte tropézienne. See and be seen is the motto here. Karl Lagerfeld, one of the regulars, once turned the Sénéquier into a catwalk to show off his collection, joining the legendary café’s illustrious past. When the sun goes down in the evening, the floating villas are lit up in their white and all of Saint-Tropez puts on its evening dress, the Sénéquier is a great place for a snack. The club sandwich or the Tarte Sénéquier aux Anchovis are Sénéquier classics that go perfectly with a glass of champagne.
