The Set Hotel by Teufelhof is, as the name suggests, the little sister of the Basel institution Teufelhof. The Teufelhof is the hub of the art scene in Basel and offers hotel, gourmet restaurant and theater under one roof. The Set now adds a modern residence for urban art and design lovers. There are 36 rooms, vis-a-vis the motherhouse Teufelhof, in Basel’s old town. You have everything you need on your doorstep, a gorgeous courtyard with a garden as a retreat, oodles of great art on the walls, and the kind of service you’d expect in Switzerland. And the prices are moderate compared to other hotels and also to the Teufelhof, at 150 euros.
