SF MoMA is just plain fun. Not only because it has exhibited unique works by Jeff Wall, Dougal Gordon, Jospeh Cornell and Olafur Eliasson, but also thanks to the museum’s architecture. In 1995 in the middle of San Francisco, star architect Mario Botta constructed a multi-building home for the museum: black and white striped with a rotunda housing both the entrance and staircase which offers views of the rotunda as one ascends. The grated, see-through bridge, which passes over the entrance hall on the fifth floor, is a highlight for anyone who doesn’t suffer from vertigo.
