Siberia’s Sinokök is a little off the beaten track, but it’s worth the journey. Here you can find street food almost like in China – and not at all like in Stockholm. The small restaurant is not cosy, but that is exactly what makes it so charming: The focus is entirely on the food. Fast, uncomplicated and honest. ‘Less is more’ – this motto is also reflected in the deliberately lean menu. Homemade noodles and handmade dumplings are served, filled with either chicken or prawns. That’s all you need. The dishes are perfectly seasoned – sometimes spicy, sometimes mild – but always fresh, aromatic and delicious all round. The prices are fair, the service direct and the experience authentic. A place for anyone looking for a little culinary break from typical Swedish fare.
