While Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo have a strong focus on meat in their highly praised restaurant “Animal”, here they opt to sail the seven seas and display an equally impressive art with seafood: Lobster Roll served with celery and lemon aioli, mussels with tarragon, pernod and fennel, and shrimp with chilli-mayo on toast, are some winning options. Alongside the pair offers French wine, as they believe it is the best match for seafood. Just as good however, is the Dirty Martini with an extra few drops of olive oil. The communal table is open for all and one usually doesn’t have to wait long there until a regular guest strikes up a chat or suggests their favourite dish. It is obligatory however, to leave room for the frozen lime yoghurt with meringue and Graham Cracker crumble.
