The small family bay Porto Ghiacciolo is only a stone’s throw away from Monopoli and is a popular weekend destination especially among the Italians. The beach is not big, but it is pleasantly sheltered and here you can relax with a view to the beautiful Castello. The adjoining beach stall is also pleasant. – The perfect place for a lazy aperitivo or a simple lunch at honest prices. How about sunbathing, a plate of Vongole spaghetti, perhaps an octopus salad and a glass of rosé? The food is not gourmet and you sit on plastic chairs, but all that counts here is the atmosphere!
