The favorite among gastropubs deserves every bit of its success. The exception to the general condition of the south side of the Thames – something of a dining wasteland – the food here is absolutely delicious. Unsurprisingly, the pub is always packed. If you don’t want to wait too long, come a bit earlier in the evening. Though the menu changes, the cuisine is British comfort food across the board with classic favorite dishes executed to perfection. Much like Peter Pim and Billy Ball, but without the knickknacks. Fantastic.
