The Granary Café has chosen one of the most prominent locations in Cape Town – more precisely on the sixth floor of the Silo Hotel designed by Thomas Heatherwick. Behind the stove is none other than Veronica Canha-Hibbert, who previously pampered guests with her comfort kitchen at Ellerman House and Mount Nelson Hotel. But one does not only visit The Granary Café because of the good cuisine, but specially because of the sensational view that one has here from almost every table – no matter how many weeks in advance one reserves. Unfortunately, the service here can appear a little aloof from time to time, but the best thing is to distract oneself with the great view through the windows, as this is anyway the most spectacular thing of this place. Good to know – those who cannot get a table for dinner can also come to The Granary Café for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea.
