Imagine a typical Italian restaurant: white tablecloths, rustic wooden chairs and walls decorated with family pictures – or simply Trattoria da Romano. The popular restaurant is hidden on Burano island, but has ceased to be a secret tip long ago. At the weekends, large families come here and there is a lively come and go. People are laughing, talking and of course feasting abundantly. The Trattoria is famous throughout the city for its Misto with seafood and vegetables as well as for its wonderful creamy Risotto Romano with a fish sugo from lagoon fish that melts in the mouth.
At weekends it is a must to make a reservation.
