Despite massive public protest, the TV Tower was built between 1985 and 1992. They were worried that the TV Tower could become a blot on Prague. Today it is the new indisputable emblem of the town. On clear days the view is so good, you can see up to 100 km away. The later added crawling kids by David Cerny turned the tower into a bizarre object of interest. At night it is lit in the Czech national colours.
