Admittedly, the area around the cathedral is neither a bargain nor an insider tip. Therefore is all the sweeter when you find an untouristic locale that offers good lattes and a refreshing, after-work beer, the Witzli Poetzli. Located just behind the cathedral on Blauwmoezelstraat, the café has a lot of outdoor seating attended to in a timely fashion by the friendly wait staff, which can’t always be expected in this corner of the city. In Antwerp, the Witzli is known as a hang out for artists and literati.
