Youth Hostel St. Alban

The St. Alaban is much more like a fashionable design hotel than a dull youth hostel. The rooms in the former silk factory are light and airy. Old rounded arches juxtaposed with modern decorative concrete provide the feel of a trendy London pub rather than the dining hall of a hostel. On nicer days the patio seating adjacent to the small canal is especially inviting. In bad weather the lobby is a pleasant enough place to stay. The lawn and the comfy leather armchairs are a great place to surf the net or get lost in one of the art books.
