When Yves Saint Laurent came to Marrakech in 1966, it was a coup de foudre: a love at first sight. Yves Saint Laurent discovered colours and light here and nowhere was he more creative than here. The museum dedicated to him, right next to the Jardin Majorelle, shows how strongly the red city influenced the designer. On 4000 square metres the most beautiful haute couture creations of the French fashion designer are presented. But not only his creations are worth a visit, also the building itself: expressive, Moroccan, modern. A building of red brick and pink granite designed by the French architects Olivier Marty and Karl Fournier.
