Brasserie l’Èmil is part of the Château Voltaire and has taken over the chic interior of the hotel: a skilful mix of modern and old-fashioned, white tiles and typical French furniture at its best. Admittedly, it’s a bit of see and be seen here and the city’s design and fashion scene comes together. But that also has its charm. It’s a bit reminiscent of the atmosphere at the Château Marmont and London’s Chiltern Firehouse. In short, a cosmopolitan flair wafts through the air here. The menu features classic French brasserie favourites such as sea bass carpaccio, beef tartare with crispy fries and, of course, the chocolate mousse is not missing.
