Racó Verd

The Racó Verd cannot be missed if one drives through the main street of Sant Josep. A corner house, diagonally opposite the church, with a cosy terrace under the large olive tree and a beautiful interior with Trompe l’Oeil wall painting. The menu is all about Mexican cuisine. Most people expect Mexican owners, but in the Raco Verd the English-Scottish couple Clare and Samuel are behind it. How does Mexico fit? The two met in New York in a Mexican restaurant and both are crazy about the pureness of Mexican food. The Mexican breakfast variant “Huevos a la Mexicana” is sensational – scrambled eggs with chili and homemade guacamole. The “Breakfast Bowl” is just as good, but less Mexican.
