Joseph is the place to be for breakfast in Vienna, and now it has arrived in Salzburg. The large glass display case is filled with delicious breads, savoury and sweet pastries, and, last but not least, Joseph’s organic milk produced by ‘happy cows’. The breakfast menu will keep late risers happy until 3 p.m. on weekends and couldn’t be a better start to the day: Wachau apricot jam, blossom cream honey, honey lavender bread and three different types of free-range eggs. The organic origin of the ingredients goes without saying. In the evening, Josephs transforms into a bistro and has plenty to offer, including beef tartare, crispy Urlaib bread with roast pork or a delicious goose with quince and red cabbage! But that’s no surprise, as chef Christoph Fink previously cooked for the Swedish Embassy. An absolute Smart Travelling favourite.
