Spritz is Venice’s national drink, with some even claiming that it was born here. That claim remains unproven, although locals and travellers alike, standing on the Campo San Giacometto with a large glass of Spritz don’t seem to care. Baristas skillfully fill your glass with soda water and white wine with a quick flick of their wrists. Guests can stay for a second glass, with fresh bread spread with cod paté and other Veneitan tapas also available.
