Alfonso Artiaco opened his gallery in Pozzuoli in 1986 at the age of just 22. The first exhibition showed works by Alighiero Boetti, Joseph Beuys and Andy Warhol, among others. In the following years, the gallery developed a program focused mainly on Arte Povera, Conceptual Art and Minimal Art, with solo exhibitions by artists such as Giovanni Anselmo and Lawrence Weiner. In 2003 Alfonso Artiaco decided to move to Naples, initially to Piazza dei Martiri, where he stayed until 2012. Then, in November of the same year, he opened the exhibition of Liam Gillick and Sol LeWitt in the current premises of Piazzetta Nilo, on the noble floor of Palazzo Principe Raimondo De Sangro. In addition to supporting its historic artists, the gallery is constantly enriching its program with new collaborations. Among the most recent is the Swiss artist Not Vita.
