You don’t know the chocolate-beef biscuits? That has to change as soon as possible. The Antica Dolceria Bonajuto is a Sicilian institution. Since 1880, the factory on Corso Umberto has been producing world-famous chocolate. The recipe has not changed since the sixth generation and so have the demands. The fine cocoa beans come from Africa and Ecuador. Chocolate from Modica was considered a staple food in Sicily at the time – strength food after work. Today, Antica Dolceria Bonajuto no longer convinces with its fabulous chocolate alone; nobody can resist the cannelloni with ricotta filling. The manufactory is said to have produced the perfect mixture of dough and ricotta mass. Oh yes – and the unusual “Mpanatigghi” biscuits with the chocolate and beef combination. If you dare to try this speciality, then here!
