A gastronomic insiders’ tip is hidden in the former Jewish quarter, south of Dublin’s centre, in an area becoming known for the many new shops, restaurants and cafes opening their doors. Diners here squeeze close around dark wooden tables. Pretty, minimalistic lamps make for a comfortable and lively atmosphere. Changing menus are conjured up regularly using the best regional organic ingredients, whose producers are displayed. Aside from the early evening menu, which is served from 6pm and consists of two courses for 18 Euros, the Camden Kitchen offers various options which are good value by Dublin standards: some of the outstanding mains cost less than 20 Euros
