Anyone looking for one of these typical authentic restaurants in Rome should definitely head for the Cantina Cantarini. It couldn’t be more authentic. Accordingly, no English is spoken here, but that doesn’t matter. It is best to simply follow the recommendations of Nello and be surprised. Nevertheless, one should make sure that one also gets a plate with ink table risotto served, this is simply outrageously good. And anyway, the Cantina Cantarini is all about seafood. These are very simple dishes, but they are on point. The price-performance ratio is also good and so are the guests at the other tables, after all most of them are Italians from the neighbourhood.
