Casa da Quinta de Cima

Casa da Quinta de Cima is situated in the eastern Algarve, near Tavira, nestled within extensive grounds featuring ancient olive trees and offering views towards the Ria Formosa lagoon. The house forms part of a working farm, making it a peaceful retreat, set well back from the coast and without the usual trappings of a hotel. The rooms are simply furnished, featuring natural materials, light colours and large windows overlooking the garden. There is no elaborate decoration; rather, they are uncluttered spaces that respond to the light and surroundings. Some rooms have terraces offering direct views of the greenery. At the heart of the property is the outdoor area with a pool, open spaces and minimal development. You move between the house, the garden and the countryside, hearing little apart from the wind and birds. Breakfast is served in the house, featuring local produce, bread, fruit and eggs. The location is ideal for trips to Tavira or to the beaches of the offshore islands, which can be reached by boat. At the same time, you remain deliberately somewhat off the beaten track here. A place for a few quiet days, with plenty of space and little in the way of organised activities.
